TeaParty365 was founded by David Webb, Thomas Basile and Kellen Giuda in February 2009, after Rick Santelli's now-famous rant on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and is one of the original, independent Tea Party organizations in the United States.
For millions of Americans, Rick Santelli's impromptu outburst struck a deep and immediate chord. We realized that, over the years, little-by-little, we had moved far beyond the bedrock principles on which this great nation was founded.
Decades of mounting debt. Crippling deficits. Unimaginable amounts of red tape… and now, a financial crisis that nearly brought the world to its knees... everything had finally come to a head.
America’s strength as a nation has always been rooted in our people. Our dreams, innovations and drive are what has made our country great. And we found ourselves at the crossroads of history. We had a choice: we could continue on the current, destructive path, or we could roll up our sleeves, get educated, and actively help shape a better future for ourselves, our children, and our country.
